Love
this website, discovered it by accident. Born in Govan, Elderpark St. then
moved to Maclean St in Kinning Park. All of my family lived in this street,
Maw & Pop (Granny & Grandad) McKay, who had 7 Sons: Jim, Peter,
Joe, Alan, John, Alex & Charlie and 2 Daughters Nellie & Jessie
(my mammy). Spent happy childhood years there before moving to Dalmarnock
when I was about 9 or 10, lived in Poplin St and Mill St Bridgeton and
then moved to Baltic St and Garvald Street in Dalmarnock.
I went to Elderpark School, Lorne Street School, Sacred
Heart Primary and Sacred Heart Secondary (Pirn Street). Met my husband
John who lived in Dunclutha
Street, and have been married for 30 years with 2 daughters and 4
grandchildren."
