June 2009,
Webmaister .....photo from Robert Russell,
member of
Flemington-Hallside Church.
This fabulous photo was taken in 1954 at a BB camp.
I have been told the picture was taken outside
Crail Church which
is situated in the picturesque coastal Royal Burgh of Crail in the East Neuk of
Fife.
In the second row No.7, with the big smile, is Edgar Ramage, next
to him, No.8, is Robert Russell.

email from Donald Smeaton
Dear Sir ,In reply to our emails last year I have managed to put some names to
faces on the photograph,
Three or four of them emigrated to Canada in the early sixties! Also
about ten of us were in the Bugle Band at that time.
The revised list of the" Company " are as follows -
Back row No3 Tommy Morris. No4 Alex Davidson No5 Walter
Chalmers.
4th row No1 Ian Ingles. No2 Donald Smeaton. No3 Robert Finlayson. No5 John
Fleming, No6 John Fleming.(Cousins) No7 John Blakey.
3rd row No8 Hugh Simpson
2nd row No3 Ian Ray No7 Edgar Ramage No8 Robert Russell.
1st row No3 George Henderson Lt ( went on to be Captain) No4 Captain, was new
cant remember his name!
I hope this information adds to the photograph,
Also about four young men in the back two rows emigrated to Canada in the early
sixty's Yours Faithfully,Donald Smeaton.

Jan.2012, email from Jim Semple, Toronto, Canada
I was astonished to find a photograph 0f
the 217th BB CAMP @ CRAIL,FIFE.
Please add my name Jim Semple---back row
2nd from the left and if I may suggest a correction, the young fella at extreme
right back row, #5 in your chart is Jim Cunningham. I should know he was my best
Buddy!
The Captain was a gentleman called Marshall, front row centre, and in addition I
was one who emigrated to Canada in June 1955. My compliments to
GlescaPals website & Robert
Russell in evoking such wonderful memories. "These were the days my Friends"
Kind Regards, Jim Semple
